Salzburg
We arrived in Salzburg. Just walked around the city for a little while and went up to the castle. Beck, this place was way more packed than last time. Also, the credit goes to you on this, the girls consider it one of their favorite cities after only just half a day. Zach, you would have appreciated this, there were soccer fans everwhere. The Germany v. Argentina game was on, which was a great game if you missed it, and there was this GIANT tv set up in the town square. There were thousands of people there watching the game. I thought I was back at a LSU game.
After the game and dinner we went to one of me, Beck, Brooke's favorite spots. The Monestary beer garden. Which when we went last year we kept using this small entrance that led us through the Monestary and it seemed quite secret. Well, I discovered the main entrance and it was enormous. Also, last year it was quiet and relaxing. This year, the whole outside was filled and those big empty rooms from last year were also filled. That combined with the Germany win made it a really good time.
Today I'm just hanging around town since the girls went on the Sound of Music tour. I might take some Austians on in some chess down in the city center.

Neil, I'd like a confirmation post that you are still alive...I hear some guy ran his car into a crowd of poeple watching a World Cup game on a huge TV in town square. This sounds eerily similar to your post...Also a train derailed in Spain, and I know that was on your list of places that you definitely might consider going if you got an itch to go somewhere that you didn't plan out. That is if there time, and if the travel could be worked out. Unless the people you were with didn't want to go, in which case you didn't really want to go anyway, so it's not a big deal. Unless it wasn't a big deal to them anyway and then you may suggest "Well I mean, we could check out Spain". But if there was some really hot girls that you met that were goign to some really crappy place that you had already been to...of course you'd follow them.
hey beck! i was in alexandria a few weeks ago. we opened a raising cane's off of mcarthur... and we broke the company single day sales record on the first full day of business. it was crazy. anyway, if you're around the homeland you should check it out. its right down the frontage road from outlaw's barbecue
I am still alive. I know you are all relieved now. Like I said in the other post, my internet is having some problems. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Then I can proceed to entertain you while you work.
Neil,
Where is the latest post man? Have you been provoked for being american at all? Question to all, I was informed that "frog" for a frenchman is very derogatory. In fact, it was put to me that calling a frenchman "frog" is like using the N word. I have never heard this, and need some opinions here.
So Neil, what is your prediction, Italy or France? I think France will do it. I want Italy to win though. The french are sooo good, i think i would be a fan if they weren't french.
The new posts will come out on this Sunday probably. I just got my internet hooked up, but I will be in Londond this weekend. It will probably be a lot of posts too.
I think the game is pretty evenly matched. I agree, the French are good, but they are French. And you know before I can even say who I'm rooting for. Italy!! I don't think anyone is going for France.
Yeah I hear the french aren't even going for france.
I'm pulling for Portugal.
