Ios Ios Ios!!!

We put Ios on our itenerary thinking it was going to be a good place to party and meet people, and it was. We have plenty of X-Rated stories but we're going to try and keep this message short enough to read in one day. With Danny and Adam's recomendation, we stayed at Far Out. This place was where everyone came during the day to drink and lay out. Our accomodations were great. It was the cheapest place we stayed and the nicest. Ios lived up to its reputation with a long street of bars and topless girls everywhere at the beach. Our most frequent bars were the Fun Pub, Red Bull Bar, Disco 69, and the Slammer Bar. The Fun Pub had the largest jinga game I have ever seen. At its highest point it was as tall as Brooke. The pieces were the size of bricks. This place was usually our first stop of the night where we kicked things off. After an hour or so we would move to the strip of bars that would put Lafayette to shame. The strip was littered with hot girls, aka. Floor Whores, who were apparently paid to hit on the guys and keep them at the bar. Jeremy and I fell victim to their seductions once or twice. We didn't realize till after leaving Ios that about 80% of the girls out were floor whores.

One of the days Jeremy and I heard of a soccer tournament going on. We scouted around for a team to join and found a group of Irish guys to join. I know we all speak english but I could have sworn they were speaking a different language. We lost in the quarterfinals, but put on a good show. We also got sponsored by one of the bars, Sweet Irish Dream Bar, which was our team name. We got these cool shirts because of it.

Ios was just one big blur. Lots of music, lots of girls, lots of partying.

The Italian Islands

We went to two islands while we were in Italy - Ischia and Capri. The first thing we learned was that the Italians love to line dance. In Ischia Brooke and Beck scored free passes to the thermal baths which they claim were glorious (they really were). Brooke continued her trend of spilling things on the trip. She managed to spill a bottle of wine, one of the big ones, all over Beck's bag in a room that was designated no alcohol by the hostel. We sat out at the beach a lot on these islands. Jeremy can't seem to sit still when he's at the beach. He always has to be in the water or swimming somewhere or talking to someone. He made Beck and I swim out to this rock. We were dodging sea urchins and jagged rocks. I managed to slice my foot in two different places pretty bad. I probably needed stiches but since I'm a hardass I wrapped it in duct tape. Beck managed to sneak by with minor scratches. At night we frequented the Oasis where we were privy to all the secret Italian line dances. We will be coming back to the States with a few new moves. The Oasis was also home to the best pasta I have ever had, the Chef Petro Special.

As for Capri, we actually stayed in this town Anacapri. We stayed at this hostel Bussolo de Hermes where we were helped by the lovely Rita. Jeremy got hugged, patted on the stomach, and slapped in the balls by Rita's husband Chiro, who is also an expert back alley driver. Capri is home to the Blue Grotto. Apparently you have to pay around 10 bucks to get a guy to taxi you in there with a boat, only to spend a few minutes in there, a BIG rip-off. We found out the insider information that you can swim in before the boat guys get there. We woke up early the next morning and went only to find a bunch of Asians at the drop point where you get into the water. We were in a rush so we threw our shirts off and jumped in paying no attention to the envious slant eyes watching us. We swam in and it was really cool, especially because we didn't pay. When we swam out the asians decided that it looked safe because the stupid Americans made it back alive, so we decided to act like we were scared and started screaming "Godzilla" scaring the Asians. The Asians who were all female asked us to be their escorts but the time was running out before the boat guys showed up and we had to get out of dodge. We spent the rest of the day at Marina Picola. We rented some kayaks there and sat on the beach. Chris had to do all the work in his canoe despite his still recovering wrist injury. The plus side, Brooke got a nice even tan.

Focker Out.

When in Rome

So i get into Rome, with of course, no backpack. We immediately go sightseeing. But thats not what you want to hear about. When I get to Rome all I hear about is this bar Julius Caesar and its disco. We went to the bar that night but the disco wasn't open that night, in fact, it wasn't open the whole time we were in Rome. We drank anyway and started meeting some girls. I ended up pairing off with this mexican girl named Monica. She barely spoke any English. Chris and Brooke went home early and Jeremy and I stayed with the girls. I'm not really sure what happened from there. We might have made out, might not have. Who knows. We did meet this 50 year old guy from Australia though and Jeremy kicked this box that a homeless guy was sleeping in.

The next night we went to Campo de Fiori. This is like the tigerland of Rome. The bar where eveyone hangs out at was the drunken ship. We met a ton of people there but the drinks were somewhat more expensive and we had to take a taxi there. There are also a lot of street vendors. They keep trying to sell you roses for like 5 Euro a piece so I offered 2 cents to a guy and he threw some of the rose in my face. It was an ok night.

The rest of the week we went to Julius Caesar and hung out with these girls from Texas we met. They were pretty cool but nothing happened between us. At the end of Rome I finally got my bag and left for Ischia.
