Salzburg

We arrived in Salzburg. Just walked around the city for a little while and went up to the castle. Beck, this place was way more packed than last time. Also, the credit goes to you on this, the girls consider it one of their favorite cities after only just half a day. Zach, you would have appreciated this, there were soccer fans everwhere. The Germany v. Argentina game was on, which was a great game if you missed it, and there was this GIANT tv set up in the town square. There were thousands of people there watching the game. I thought I was back at a LSU game.

After the game and dinner we went to one of me, Beck, Brooke's favorite spots. The Monestary beer garden. Which when we went last year we kept using this small entrance that led us through the Monestary and it seemed quite secret. Well, I discovered the main entrance and it was enormous. Also, last year it was quiet and relaxing. This year, the whole outside was filled and those big empty rooms from last year were also filled. That combined with the Germany win made it a really good time.

Today I'm just hanging around town since the girls went on the Sound of Music tour. I might take some Austians on in some chess down in the city center.

Asian Invasion

While waiting for the girls to meet up with me in Munich I found some Asian girls trying to sneak into my room, so I had to kick them out. They thought that was the room they were supposed to be staying in, but there were no beds left and it was only a triple. I tried to explain it to them but they just stared at me like I was a circus act. I finally convinced one of them to go downstairs and talk to the guy who, like I thought, said he made a mistake and gave them the wrong key.

Münchin Part 2

So the girls finally showed up. About 2 hours late. In the meantime I found some things to occupy my time. One of which you can read in "Asian Invasion." I also met up with my English and Australian buddies again and drank with them till the girls got back.

After the girls got back, we went to the Hofbrau House again that night and drank there for a little while, then went to some casino. I don't know if you remember how there were these painted lions everywhere Beck. But, these crazy Australians kept going up to this Hotel nearby and would slap the lion in front of it until the desk guy would come out and chase them down the street. They kept doing it over and over again. It was probably one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

The next day we went to this market for lunch. It was near some big blue and white pole. I don't think we went there last year Beck, but you, Danny, or Adam may have been there before. It was pretty cool. After we ate we caught the train to Salzburg.

Münchin

So we got in the first night. We went to a restaurant and watched the World Cup while we ate. We were all extremely tired but we decided to go out anyway. We played drinking games with this group of people from London and Ireland. You will be happy to know they play the same game we do, where every card means something different. They call it "Kings." So we played the drinking games then went to the Hofbreau House. Sorry if I spelled it wrong. We then went to some bar that the girls wanted to go to, and to my disbelief they didn't serve beer. So I got a Coco Loco. HUGE mistake. We then went back to the Hofbreau House and shut the thing down. On our way back we were watching a street performer, who kissed one of the girls I am with. She was extremely pissed. While sitting in the group watching, I ran into Laura Futch. Crazyness. I then went back to the hostel for a well deserved pass out.

Day 2. We just did the sites. Since two of us had already done the tours we were pretty much Adrienne's personal tour guides. That night we went on a pub crawl. Another HUGE mistake. Which we were late to, because the girls had to sneek out to buy some shoes. I brought the only girls so I had to put up with all the dude's hanging around us and being nice to me to get to the girls. One of them even bought my beers, so I can't complain too much. Pub Crawl last year: lots of hot girls, all my friends from LSU, around 6 different pubs and beer gardens. Pub Crawl this year: I brought the best looking girls, no friends from LSU, and only 2 beer gardens. ONLY 2 beer gardens, any less and they wouldn't have been able to call it a pub "crawl." After the pub crawl we ran into out buddies from the night before. Drank with them the rest of the night. Beck, you will be happy to know I imparted my knowledge to all kind of people of the cheers you showed me. But no glass breaking this year. At least not on my behalf. Some guy(fag) kept telling everyone that the glasses were thick so they wouldn't break. Having broken one last year on accident I proceeded to inform everyone otherwise. So, wanting to prove me wrong, the dumbass proceeced to break TWO glasses. Dumbass!! This was the quality of people I had to put up with on the pub crawl. Anyway, we hung out with our buddies afterward and had a really good time last night.

Day 3. On Beck's suggestion, I went on a City Walking Tour. It was decent. The girls had gone to the castles, which I had already done, so I passed on them. I met these guys from Georgia, who went to UGA. And guess what we talked about all day, football. Now I'm back at the hostel, waiting on the girls to get back, who are as usual, late.

So another summer starts in Europe. The first day started a little smoother this year. No luggage lost! Just got to Munich, going to get something to eat.
